Stuart Veterans Memorial

Honoring Those Who Served

The City of Stuart, in partnership with the Stuart Veterans Memorial Committee, the American Legion Post 146, and Johnson’s Monument Company, is proud to support the creation of a new granite Veterans Memorial honoring all who served and are laid to rest in North Oak and South Oak Grove Cemeteries.

This memorial will stand as a lasting tribute to the men and women from our community who served our country in war and peace — a place for reflection, remembrance, and gratitude.

About the Memorial

The Stuart Veterans Memorial will feature the engraved names of local veterans alongside the emblems of each branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. At its center, a powerful image of a soldier saluting the flag reminds visitors of the sacrifices made in the name of freedom.

Two focal pieces will anchor the site:

  • Main Memorial Wall — honoring every veteran interred in North Oak and South Oak Cemeteries.

  • POW/MIA Tribute Monument — inscribed with “All Gave Some, Some Gave All,” ensuring those missing or lost in service are never forgotten.

Surrounding benches and flagpoles will create a space for visitors to pause, reflect, and pay respect.

Memorial Progress

As fundraising milestones are reached, we’ll share updates and photos of the memorial’s progress right here.

“This memorial will serve as a place of reflection and gratitude — a space where future generations can come to honor the courage and sacrifice of those who served our nation.”
